My Head Hurts...

Since I had a few hours before the dialogue session, I thought I did try develop my game's storyline using the Snowflake Method.

X.X....

At least this method is more organised than my write-whenever-and-whatever-you-want method. My story finally feels like its getting somewhere but then again, all I did is the first and second stage of the method. =x

I feel that the Snowflake Method it is quite useful really, helps you detect loopholes early on the writing process. Loopholes are like... one of the main reason I am not progressing. Now I can see where the ideas are going ...........

Good grades are definitely not everything. Even though it is all I have to be happy about.

Lately, I keep falling back into a state of depression. Often due to a reminder about the miserable state of my life from things happening around me.

And on top of that, I have no one to make me feel better.

I can't stand it... finding myself wondering whether I should just end everything.

Sometimes it utterly piss me off more when people say that I like being depressed and alone. Especially when what I want is the exact opposite.
Just what I need... more shit to make me feel worse.

It's my fault, everyone says. Probably true regarding why I am like this. It's not easy though, to change. Always screwing it up. Like just now.

Meh... just when I thought I have the time, my holidays ended up cluttered with activities.
I'm outside the house on most days, either for project-related stuff, meetings, outings... etc. etc.

Guess I have got to wait till the next holiday before I can put in some substantial amount of work into the storyline I am working on T-T

Game

Sorry guys but until i feel like it, I am not going to do a post regarding the "When They Cry" series.

I am going through quite a hard time lately.

Ever since primary school, I have been playing a game against Time.
The other players, the twins Fate and Luck, their allegiance changes from time to time.

I had been losing to Time alot.... and Fate and Luck have been playing against me quite alot.
But Fate's latest move, I really don't know... the reason behind it.

Are you playing against me again? Or are you trying to help me?

And Luck had not made her move.
The move I chose, a move I am going to play soon. In order to tempt Luck or Fate into making a move. How will they respond to it? Will either help? Will they play against me? Or are they going to pass this one?

How am I to win this?

Endurance can win against Time but Time can corrode my endurance too.
And so far all the attempts to get outside help... Time, Fate and Luck had made sure that the attempts don't work out. Either that or there would be a time or situation that will cause me to lose my ally.

Sadly, at the moment, I can't find anyone appropriate to help either...
*Sigh* No point emo-ing over it too much. I will see how my fellow players play when I make that move.

Then its back to planning my next move again.

Technical Difficulities?

Some of you probably noticed that up till like about 2 days ago, my blog layout screwed over and you had a bunch of photobucket's this-image-ish-gone stuff splashed all over the screen...

Or probably none of you noticed beacuse the site is more or less dead...

ANYWAY!
I dont know why but the images are perfectly fine and I can load if i paste the direct url onto the broswer. But my blog insist on screwing up...

I guess the layout went on strike due to the lack of updates.

So thus, I shall try to keep this blog updated from now on.
Don't expect to hear anything spectacular though >< My life is less interesting than watching grass grow.

And for you fellow Higurashi no Naku Koro ni fans out there, I have watched all the available Umineko no Naku Koro ni episodes and I did like to say that it is an AWESOME successor of Higurashi.

And for those of you who havent watched either, I highly recommend you peeps to try them. The way they manupilate the audience's thinking through the scenes is just unthinkable. xD

Anyway I feeling lazy at the moment so I will leave all the elaboration and details about the "Naku Koro ni" (Official name: When They Cry) series on the next post. xP

It's just difficult, especially as I am having problems getting inputs from others without getting ridiculed and discouraged.

Sorry, that I haven’t been posting, so here’s a little something to make up for it... =)

Life in Singapore Polytechnic (from a mineral’s point of view...)

In 3 weeks of Poly Life I learn that:

a) The timetable is VERY irregular. On some days classes start at 8 am and on another, classes start at 11.30 am.

b) It is so irregular that you feel like something is wrong whenever you start at 11.30.

c) But don’t get too happy, you might just end at 9pm on the same day.

d) Don’t be too happy that your L1R2B2 score is better than most of your peers either because

e) It is exactly the reason why your day ends at 9pm

f) Due some extra class that requires you to buy a textbook heavier than your laptop.

g) And the textbook have the large word “CALCULUS” written across its hard cover.

h) So end up walking like a zombie on your way home on those nights.

i) G.G.

j) Loads of stuff to learn here.

k) And you end up forgetting some other important things

l) Like your classmates’ names

m) Or, in my case, the things I will need for a week every month

n) When I need it

o) And everyone else in my class is a guy.

p) Shit.

q) Had to buy it from 7-11, so embarrassing

r) Yeah, there is 7-11 near AND inside SP.

s) There is Macdonald’s, Subway, KFC and even Pizza Hut here.

t) With a grand total of three food courts I can access easily

u) And I still have problems finding seats during lunch.

w) I personally confirmed that guys think completely differently from girls.

x) So different that I often feel the urge to smash them with the CALCULUS textbook.

y) That’s how my new-found violent personality comes about.

1st week of school wasn't much. The syllables are a little bit hard to understand sometimes but I guess it is because I am new to the topics...

And somehow or another, I got myself a high fever after the 2nd day of school xD.
Nothing that didn't heal overnight though.

The timetable is kind of... irregular...
On wednesday school starts at about 8 am and ends about 10 am.
And on the other extreme end, on monday, school starts at 11 am and ends at 9 pm.

Writing a good storyline and scenes that make much impact isn't easy.

I have been sampling other games made using RPG Maker XP (the designing software I am using).

... I sampled... not played... I have been working hard >.>

Sampling those games give me a good idea of the atrocious mistakes I can make.

For example, you often have the main characters trying to infiltrate some base or stronghold for no good reason. I mean, if you see some random stranger getting captured... it is quite illogical that you will break into someplace just because you saw him get captured...

Like..

"Who are those people?"

"They are from (so-and-so place)."

"I think we should rescue that old man from them..."

FYI, the first dungeon (more like area) of my game and the boss there is more or less done.

Towns and villages are harder to make.... So much NPC dialogue x.X.

And I solved the modem problem.. I used the wrong cable...
... So pathetic T.T

It was highly recommended for SP students to get a laptop.

...And now I'm currently typing all these text with my not-so-shiny laptop.

It's a light-weight laptop at about only 1.4 kg... Its performance seems pretty okay but the graphics aren't that awesome but its still acceptable...

It did be perfect if only the school didn't recommend Windows Vista and on top of that, install a lot of messy stuff into the laptop.

If only half of the messy stuff wasn't necessary... I would have reformatted all these and install Windows XP.

Windows XP for the win...

Why Vista? T.T

After trying, failing, googling, failing again and multiple re-trying again, I finally got the game design software installed...

But the modem installations files still can't run ._.

Thank God for public wireless services. I will try the installations again later -.-

Still, I love the new addition to my happy-set of gadgets.

Hopefully this would speed the game designing progress abit...

The new D.gray-man manga chapter is FINALLY out ^^. It took like MONTHS.
And Code Geass failed to catch my interest once again. I stopped at episode 20 this time
... sorry people...

I didn't wanted to... but I had to scrap my storyline AGAIN... but at least the new one got me further than before. Currently making sure my characters are more interesting. (personality- and background-wise)

Do you think they should have a happy ending? I suppose happy endings makes everyone but the author happy because the author has to kill more brain cells to make a sequel (most of the time xD).

Then again maybe there won't be a sequel... at least not one that is linked to the current story.

I don't know *shrugs*. It is still too early to tell

I was busy with some matters regarding enrolment to Poly in the past few days.

Things were OK... till I came to the part on the online pre-enrolement whereby I had to key in my secondary school CCA records.

The thing was VERY inefficient. I was given drop-down lists to enter my CCA activities, roles, awards etc.

God-knows-why neither Science Team or Astronomy was listed there.
What's weirder is that while they have Robotics and Mircomouse related awards listed, neither group was listed.

Calling the "helpline" was pointless as no one asnwered.
Calling the "helpline" and leaving a message didn't work either.

So my pre-Poly CCA records are screwed and I gave up caring.

It's not like I have a choice...

Sorry for the lack of updates. There is much for me to input. Especially when I am at home 98% of the time.

School hasn't start yet for me, (when is that darn letter coming?!) so I am pretty much wasting my time with anime and games nowadays.

After finally getting bored of D.gray-man anime, I went to watch Gundam 00.
I am almost done with season 1. (Currently waiting for the last episode of the season to load.)
Though the first season only have 25 episodes... it is already hell lot more depressing than the whole of D.gray-man plot that I have read so far.

Still Gundam 00 pwnz Gundam SEED Destiny. It is awesome enough to make Destiny seem like a totally lame ass anime.

-spoilers ALERT-

Unlike in Destiny, in the first season of Gundam 00, the "good guys" (Celestial Being) lost. Because of that there is a sick amount of depressing causalities.

Somehow, that is still better that some Kira Yamato pwning a whole army or something.

Well, if you guys aren't too busy with school or something, (and if you don't mind depressing but awesome stuff) I recommend watching Gundam 00.

I am not sure which is better: D.gray-man or Gundam 00.

The anime industry has really taken off.

And thats how the SMS with my JAE posting result came...

I got posted to Singapore Poly's Computer Engineering course.
My first choice course.

Come to think of it... was I ever afraid of receiving results?
Nah, I was usually too freaking excited to care whether I fail or not.
Though I do get grumpy if my results sucks.
But after a few days or weeks, I can't remember enough to get grumpy anyway.

My first choice course ended up being Computer Engineering at Singapore Poly. I am probably not going JC. Although, the last few choice I put JCs like CJC, PJC and IJC.

But then, if I fail to enter 9 different poly courses... chances of going to JC is like... ...
I mean, if that happens something is SERIOUSLY wrong with my luck. Most of the courses I entered in my choices have Cut-off Points of like above 15 and my L1R2B2 score (be it L1R2B2-A, L1R2B2-B, etc.) is 11 before deducting for CCA grade.

And no, I don't want to talk about my results. Thank you very much.

I know people are concerned (or just being busybodies), but I am getting more and more irritated with each person that comes by and ask about my O levels results.

And thus, you can see (to me) my results are a massive screwup.

That topic aside.

Life here is freaking boring to the extent that I have to study so that I won't feel like I am wasting my time. I am currently trying to grasp C programming.

The result? Books full of words that render the dictionary useless.

So I ended up enjoying a C for dummies book.

I am kind of hyper-sensitive after seeing my O levels results. (If I was not already...)

Came back from a 7-day trip in Malaysia on the 1st of January. It was quite OK... except the fact that people keep making me to eat more until I felt like puking. It wasn't very fun, due to a lack of anyone around my age to hang out with, but it wasn't bad either. The best part of the trip is probably the countdown at Gentin. The fireworks display was awesome!

And I got a cute doggy stuff toy for a souvenir =3

The Final Fantasy XII video I brought back from Malaysia was almost completely terrible. The storyline was OK but the translations was terrible. On top of shitty English in the subtitles (the video is in Japanese) the translated names were so off the mark that they were funny and total nonsense.
You have "Vann" translated to "Bang" and "Balthier" translated to "Bunnyfair"...
The subtitles were also very messy due to the presence of THREE different language of subtitles at one go (English, Chinese and Japanese...).

Speaking of games... I believe for RPGs on NDS, for most of them, their gameplay quality lose to their GBA counterparts. I was especially disappointed with NDS Summon Night. The great battle system, the entertaining dialogues and weapon crafting that made GBA Summon Night an awsome game are all gone.
At least there was and NDS game that was considerably better than all previous games I had played. The game "The World Ends With You" features an awsome battle system, unique characters, great songs and many other great stuff.

Eh..... the lack of updates... partly because of my new (pink! xD) NDS

Everyone in the house is fighting for this computer... because it is the only computer in the house with proper internet connection. On top of that, it is the best one around here.

Nothing much happening around me nowadays. Most of the time, I am either reading or playing the NDS. =.= Not making much progess with the game I am designing. Not when the computer is occupied when my game's database requires major renovations. As for the storyline, I am having a hard time making a good one.

Oh, the other day I watch my first NC-16 movies with a few friends...

1. JC Vs Poly

Let's see... I like to specialize in something soon.. so I am very likely to go to Polytechnic instead of Junior College. However, parents unlikely to approve of a course which have a cut-off-point that is waaaay higher than my L1R2B2.(yes, that is such thing as being TOO good =.=)
I aimed for L1R5 of 10-12
Most of the courses I like have cut-off-points higher than 12.

In the event I am not allowed to go for any of the courses I want... I will go JC instead.
No qualms about going to JC, but only if I can't get the courses I want... so I can get a course I am interested in when I get to university.
And I don't need a good JC ... I mean look at my target....... and my prelim L1R5 ...=.=

When people cannot go for JC.. they go Poly...
But, as you can see

Dang it...
Got myself a new computer since the old one is well broken (duh?!)
Now the thing is that the audio driver refuse to be installed properly (resulting in a shit error) and it refuse to be uninstalled as well
AKA my new computer doesnt have a working sound system =(

That aside...

Finished watching .hack//Roots on the other computer xD
Not bad.. but a bit too much talking and not enough action. The concepts are kind of cool though.
For those who don't know .hack series is about things going about in this online RPG world called "The World"
I think will go to the start of the ENTIRE .hack series and try to understand why their World is so freaking weird.

Yeah! NDS is winning currently... (referring to the last post)

But... the saddest thing about NDS...

There is only ONE namco tales game on NDS..

My favourite game series: the Tales series by the company Namco. Yeah, like after so many games I played... I FINALLY found a outstanding favourite ^^

The game that made me really like the series is the only Tales game on GBA: Tales of Phantasia (the first game of the Tales series).
Yeah, the one which animation I keep begging some of you to watch. Seriously people, GO AND WATCH IT ON YOUTUBE.

So a bit of intro:

This is the anime version of the characters.

BTW... characters may have two names due to the language translation from Japanese to Enlgish.

Cless Alvein (クレス・アルベイン, Kuresu Arubein)/Cress Albane:
Main character basically. He is the orange-haired guy in the center of the picture. Uses melee weapons (swords/spears/axes), heavy armour, warrior kind of character. He is the nice nice kind of guy, that is about it... nothing much to say about him.

Chester Barklight (チェスター・バークライト, Chesutā Bākuraito)/Chester Burklight:
Cress's best friend. The guy with long blue hair and in blue shirt in the picture. He is a bowman. Sarcastic kind of guy, can get abit "violent emo", he can be a bit mean sometimes but he actually very kind, especially to his sister. My favourite character in the game!

Mint Adnade (ミント・アドネード, Minto Adonēdo)/ Mint Adnade:
She and Cress, they make a really sweet pair. She is the blond girl in white in the picture. She is a healer/prisetess of a sort. Quiet, sweet kind but not the cute cute kind of girl, she is more of the understanding kind. You can say Cress is lucky xD.

Klarth F. Lester (クラース・Ｆ・レスター, Kurāsu F. Resutā)/ Claus F. Lester:
He is the oldest of the group. The guy with the brown hat in the picture. He is a summoner and his summons to me it is quite cool. Probably the most intelligent in the group. Can be funny at times.

Arche Klaine(アーチェ・クライン, Āche Kurain)/ Arche Klein:
In the first half of the game, she is like after Cress, the next half, she and Chester are like a pair, a VERY FUNNY pair. She is the pink haired girl in the front. She is a magic user. Responsible for most of the crapping and funny scenes in the games. Most of the time, when you have her with Chester and you will be laughing your ass off.

Suzu Fujibayashi(藤林すず , Fujibayashi Suzu )/ Suzu Fujibayashi:
An optional addition to the party in the game. She is the girl at the far back in red clothes and brown hair. She is a ninja and she keeps pretending to like not have feelings and so on because that is how ninjas in the game are supposed to be like. However, deep down inside she does have feelings. She have some very sad scenes in the game... poor girl... she ended up killing her parents because she had no choice >.< ... she is only 11.. Namco! How could you do that to her.
BTW, she is like my favourite chracter after Chester.

What really makes the game worthwhile is the scenes. Like most of the other Tales games, the plot twisters are the major outstanding part of the game.
I have been reading Tales of Symphonia manga and watching its anime to.
I swear, this series is on par with Final Fantasy, maybe even better. That's my opinion!

Oh FYI, Tales of Phantasia is the first Tales game to be made (I think).

Nintendo Dual Screen VS Playstation Portable (I know it is kind of late to write this)

Personally I prefer DS.
1. Touch screen function
2. GBA game compatibility (I am still a GBA player.. don't you dare laugh.. they are not all as easy as you think)
3. Sequels to some GBA game series are playable(eg. zelda-phantom hourglass, the next fire emblem, children of mana etc. etc.)
4. It is cheaper... xD

But then again:
1. PSP graphics looks cooler...
2. The rotating button at the bottom left corner of the PSP is kind of fun... xD

I have played both a little but I don't own either. (Else I won't be stuck as a GBA player)

RJC Astrigue 2008 Conclusion & Aftershocks

RJC Astrigue astronomy competition 2008 started yesterday, and yesterday the rounds are mostly, well, makes me go AARRRGH!!!
Today our luck just went *******!!! on us during the strategic game round, otherwise known as as the "tyco-tyco" board game round, and rolling three 1s in a row with the dice.
I was happy it was annouced that my team got into finals UNTIL we realised they made a mistake and it was the OTHER team. So much hoping.
Hoping and then, failing just SUCK like hell and that happened like 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the time in my life. I have currently gone through FOUR astronomy competitions and NEVER got into finals. I am as good as freaking useless and my participations were like just to fill up the places in the ranked 2nd school team.

The day after tomorrow I will be going for the LAST astronomy competition due to "They-Who-Would-Not-Stop-Controlling-My-Life". I ~~hope~~ want to get to finals or else my astro career is as good as not there.
Maybe it is...

And the sky today is so SADistic on us. Crying all the way making icky mud puddles everywhere.

When I get home I have this person who would not stop hanging around me. Worse of all, would not stop spouting Pokemon stuff while playing and talking complete nonsense as if his brains was a pokeball. So irritating.

My life is just as good as nothing. Insignificant.

P.S. I hate cameras pointed at me. Please stop taking photos, it makes me want to smash it into your forehead.

I think I got myself hooked on Cascada's songs.

Great vocals, although it still not as nice as that of the Japanese songs I listen to.
And there's drums or bass guitars covering up the vocals in those songs of hers. I hate it when that happens when I listen to music you know.
The lyrics are ok but the variety of contents in the lyrics isn't much.
But still, they are cool. Maybe I would even consider buying the CD.

I just finished sourcing for information about the Stellar Fossil HE 1523-0901. I am going to print them out and summarise them later.
The research is kind of like homework from competition team trainning.
Uh, maybe it is homework. UH.

It is really interesting, the stellar fossil is like only around 500 million years younger than the universe. Like.... wow wow wow wow. That is really old.
Futhermore, it is in our galaxy. O.O

Um, yes it has been really long since I blog before this. Many of my um, acquatainces, stop posting much as well. It is 'O' Level year, and we are all really busy, stressed, freaking out etc.

Ah well, that's like one of the ways I am trying to improve my English.
I want to get an "A" for English for "O" levels.

Yes, an "A". Why, surprised?! I know languages are not my strong point (in fact all my grades are equally bad) but I have to try. After all, my English grades can be saved unlike my Mother Tongue. My Mother Tongue grades are like GONE. I will more likely to prevent the end of the world or something than get a "B" for Mother Tongue.

I already labelled by the Mother Tongue teacher as one of those students that are really weak. So depressing, (not that I am not already depressed) but I can't do anything about people caring only what they see about me and my usefulness. And I can't remove that block I kind of developed for Mother Tongue.

And having parents who only want me to study your "O" Level subjects and nothing else isn't a help at all. Everyday I get told off about how disgusting my grades are. Like as if teacher marking you as a "weak one" in front of all other students is not bad enough.

The teacher is not that bad, she is only doing her job I guess. But, I just need one teacher to call up my parents about my disgusting grades and I will have as much freedom as a pet goldfish in a tiny fishtank. And it does not help that I have been hiding my failed class test results. I just need one of those results to get forced out of the competition team by my parents.

Imagine if I have to tell my fellow Astronomy Club members that I have to back out. And on top of that, the teachers too. I might as well dig myself a hole to hide in and never come out.

Sometimes, I really feel like running into the path of a six-wheeler truck and scream "Damn the world!"

Then again, it is my fault, that is what everyone say. But I did try. I just failed. Always.
On the bright side, I did not failed in pulling up my Amaths results from an F9 to B3
Then again, who else cares? It is one subject. The rest remain as bad as before.

Everyday day you are freaking out. 'Cause you have messed up somewhere in your life. Clear the mess and another comes along. Clear an exam and you start worrying about the grades. Get your grades and you start worrying about the next exam. Done suffering a punishment and another comes along. Not a day of peace cause it is all worries, worries and worries about the bad consequences, about the sufferings you have to go through.

Seriously the Alive or Dead, both ways you suffer.
If I am really sure that hell is all flames that burns you for eternity or burn you into a state where you don't exist, I will put a bullet through my head.

If I don't exist -> I can't feel -> I can't suffer
Even if I am to burn in hell for eternity I won't mind because everyday is predictable, no worries.

Too bad we can't be certain what happens after we die.

I guess that is the reason why people are afriad of death.
It's not the suffering..
It's the worries and uncertainty about afterlife.
And it is worries that is giving us no peace since the day we are born.

2.Learning to Kayak
The kayak I was in was going zig-zag here there never straight ...
Then we are supposed to capsized in the deep sea
And this dummy got stuck under the kayak for a few moments when trying to overturn it back again
When we did overturn the kayak back up.. I guess I was so blardy scared of the water then the kayak capsizing again then i scrambled up and strained my legs in the process.. I
mean come on.. im in the water.. even if it capsized again.. Im still in the water..
Right.. ditto that..

3. Pitching Tents

WOW I can learn new things... xD

Climbed some -censored- hill.. We were like wandering around and somehow end up at the campsite.. hmm by luck? i dun think so.. I think some of my watchmates really know how to read the map...

1. Hiking (from campsite to camp 2, morning to afternoon forgot time le)
Was dragging along the trash bag... (at least it didnt stink).. I fell down somewhere and cut open my knees.. (u dummy why fall down on CEMENT not SOIL @!&$^@!#@!!!!!) Powdered all the biscuits I was holding... Someone took the trash bag... then i start missing it.. o.O I generated too much rubbish maybe?!

2. Finally we get a BATHE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (in Camp 2)
Camp 2 have a nice big toilet... (o.O now I am obessed with toilet standards.. toilet became luxury there alrdy).. theres another toilet with stink like hell though..

heehee.. only got a big toilet for girls and the guys' put together only half the size of the big toilet.xD
Do we girls bathe that slow till OBS give us such a big toilet!?
I swear it is 2 times the size of the biggest camp1 toilet
Though the lights of the big toilet werent on till the next day.. but its still great before the sun set..

3. Rock climbing
I.. cant. get.. a .. grip.. on.. that.. ****ing... stone.. with.. my.. shoes... AAHHHHHHHHHHHH *lost grip and was only less than 1.5m from the ground*
boo hoo.. still suck at rock climbing

4. Just abit this and that.. then we go to sleep..
Oh geez.. why dont they turn of the streetlight so i can sleep

Humans and Computers

Computers make our lives easier don't they? Humans made computers and the net .. and come to think of it.. they show our needs.. they show our weaknesses.. they show how we work...

we need time
computers can multitask.. solve eqns within seconds.. process bytes and bytes of data every single moment they are turned on

we wan to enjoy
there are computer games
we wan save money
there are the "preferred versions" all over the net
we wan a fren
we have chats services.. buddy list in games.. even a AI to play with you

computer work in a straightfoward manner
just like our emotions.. when we are sad we cry.. when we see homework we grumble...
computer malfunctions with viruses
our body turn crap with illnesses

There's only one main difference between humans and these gifts from the height of technology:

a will of our own

we can choose which way to go
its like a computer being able to load a programme it chooses..
doesnt sound like we and computers are very different now does it?

to create something which is able to think for itself out of data is impossible...
there will probably be some moral issues if it is possible...

but even without that
machines and computers are taking over some of our jobs
not long will it be when everything will come at the touch of a button

if that day comes.
what will become of us humans?

futhermore..
computers are make life easier..
yet.. us.. with minds far more powerful than any computer..
we create trouble for ourselves.
we misuse things..
viruses around the net
ppl downloading pirated stuff..
we hate, we destroy, we lust.....
hate mails, vulgarites, insults posted across blogs to humilate..
virtual armies made to kill each other, the 'pros' humilating the 'noobs'
porn sites all across the net, people offering sex here and there...

seriously, we are far more intelligent the computers..
yet, we bring more misery into our lives than these machines
im not different from anyone else... but i would still like to point it out...
i would like to know why..
the only difference betwen us and computers is our minds..
we all agree that the difference makes us superior..

the posters, well, for me.. it is VERY disturbing to have a bunch of people staring at you out of those full coloured pics on the wall... I know I am disturbed but that's not the point.
Futhermore, I think that (excluding myself) not everyone in the class will be rather happy about it...

There isn't anything wrong with putting up posters, just that, everyone have different views you see, but sometimes you have to consider others before making a decision, that's what I believe.
Sometimes we have to remember that we are not the only one with feelings in the world.

For me, I can't stand those posters. Mainly because it's irritating to me to see people trying to act tough, look cool, act cute etc. Nothing's wrong with acting like that, and considering it is one of the ways to eat up people's wallets, but , Jade have really contrasting prefrences....

I would sooner put a picture of the world's most powerful computer than a picture of a person. xD Just as I would rather put a picture of a Gundam or Lain's supercomputer than a anime character..

Ah well, jade is a piece of rock which is like a non-living thing. So I guess just as living things are attacted to living things, non-living things are attached to non-living things.. xD

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: What's behind its success?

Well we all know what nutty craze the latest Harry Potter book has caused, millions of people across the world queuing up for it. Everyone is trying so hard to get the book in one form or another. Children here and there squealing, "Mummy! I want the book!"

Why indeed can a simple common non-living thing as a book can cause such a disturbance in the bookworm community?
I know a hell lot of people will give me answers like "Because Rowling's writing style rocks!" or "It's the greatest series ever written!"
Are u sure?

I know that Rowling is really damn famous and her books are really interesting. I have read many books and I am sure that there ARE much more interesting books in the world.
It doesn’t really mean that if you are famous, means you are the greatest.
There's no one in the world that is the solid best at anything.
No, I am NOT saying the series or Rowling herself suck. Harry Potter is really interesting, it is one of the best BUT it is NOT the best of the best.

What I believe is that Rowling is able to write a book that appeal to the majority. I believe that to become famous, what you do or your works have to be liked or preferred by the majority.
Majority likes your stuff. You get fame. That's it.
It's the same everywhere, be it Singapore Idol or Blogskin.com
Being famous does not necessarily mean that you are the greatest.

(To me,)There are much more interesting books that are much better than Harry Potter.
Examples:
"Burned" by Ellen Hopkins, her style is rather unique. She write in verses (like poems) and the descriptions on people's emotion are VERY VIVID. Although we will all cringe on the themes she wrote on.
"Eragon" and "Eldest" by Christopher Paolini, I wont be surprise if another craze will start when the 3rd book comes.
The first 2 books of the "Maximum Ride" series by James Patterson, What a pity that (to me) the 3rd book's ending isn’t nice at all, still the first 2 books will get you glued to them, action plus a whole load of humor. Enjoyed them ALOT.
"Hex" trilogy by Rhiannon Lassiter. xD My favourite books haven’t changed for 3 yrs! Well, if your brain is full of weird stuff and have a love of technology/futuristic related themes in books. YOU WILL LOVE THIS TRILOGY. I would say that unlike Harry Potter, this series made me read it over and over and over again without getting bored of it!

Of course, there's no best book in the list.
There's only THE ONE YOU THINK IS THE BEST.
Nothing is perfect.

The movie also helps promote books if you haven’t realized. It helps people imagine the scenes in the book.
The Harry Potter movie DOES serve that purpose. Yeah, many of you people considered it waste of money but just look at all the little kids reaction to it. Yes, they are KIDS, but kids can influence the parents wallet sometimes cant we? *evil grin*
But of course, the fact remains that you do need talent and skill to get yourself there. So, kudos to Rowling for getting so much attention.

In the meantime, if you can't get Deathly Hallows, try the books I have listed. You can go skip around and do some eBook downloading (not encouraged), on the downside, you can’t be solid sure that your copy is not a fake and reading off the screen suck (yeah, so why the hell are we here?! eh...)

Me? I haven't got the book yet; I will wait till prices drop. If my memory is correct Order of Phoenix last December was around $12.

Why Homework Can Be Such A Drag

We all hate homework don't we? Have you ever asked yourself why?Usually you people would say that because homework is extremely boring. Not fun. Gives headache. Difficult blah blah blah etc.

Let's take a look:

Homework vs Computer games

We all know which one of the above two we LOVE we? The above comparison is probably like a comparison between a rubbish dump and paradise.
So why bother comparing them?

"Boring, not boring..."
You see, computer games are like one of the many things that make homework seem boring. Unlike homework, computer games are SPECIALLY MADE to make us like it.
Games are like major distractions for most of us when we do homework.

"If I think any further, my brain will explode..."
In computer games although as much thinking and practise or perhaps MORE is needed as compared to homework, we are able to CHOOSE whether we want to think or wander around acting like friggin noob.
Yes, indeed, think about it... if you really want to turn pro in any games, you have to memorise game data, strategies, practise a lot.
(And also, not many will like to act like a friggin noob)
Furthermore, there's the FUN ELEMENT in games that make us love the game so much.
Homework's fun element.. HUH? What fun element?!?!

"**** lah haven't do my homework"
Another friggin thing that makes homework the equivalent of the last level of hell is the dateline.
Or should I be more specific?
The person giving the dateline... xD
What's with all the pressurising threats and the ever-growing pile of homework?
We're all asking: "When the bloody hell is it gonna stop?!"

I guess the major reasons for people to hate homework is its difficult and uninteresting form.
And that our choices are either to do or to get a earful from the teachers.
The package of homework comes with threats and pressure all the time.

Maybe some of you are wondering, why we have limited choices.
The major reason for this is how things works.
You see, in this world, without degrees you probably cannot live a good life.
No nice degrees no nice job no nice life. Simple.
(I don't think the salary of a road sweeper or a toilet cleaner will get you very far anyway. Besides, I wont be surprise that technology will take over those kind jobs in the near future, considering that technology IS in fact partially taking over some of those jobs.)
And homework is supposed to like help us get the degrees.
That is what adults think.Practise makes perfect, according to them.
Come to think of it, they are kind of right. Practise does make perfect, just look at those gaming pros, spending so much time gaming.
In this society, adults have the right to make their children obey causing a limit of choices.
Anyway, because mindsets cannot be changed, things are fixed and our lives are fixed too.
And we have fixed choices.
It's the same in games too.
Either you train and become good at it or face humiliation and be called a noob...

Education is part of a game, a game called LIFE. Just not as attractive as the computer ones...Maybe we just need some more motivation to do our homework.
Maybe the threats are one kind of motivation? o.O

Why Anonymous People Can Be Annoying

Indeed, loads of us ppl get pissed off just by asking an anonymous person "who the bloody hell are u?!". Though part of anonymous says ANONY, but tats beside the point.

Ok, lets start with the most basic thing...

Definition of "Anonymous Person"

Pardon my atrocious English.
So how do you define a person to have gained an anonymous status? Well, this particular mineral define a person to have an anonymous status when they purposefully hide their identity. In fact, this piece of ~~shiny shiny~~ mineral here is under some kind of partial anonymous status. Partial because some people do know me even when i use the name "Jade" and "Jade" is like my online identity however, it's anonymous because, well... I am hiding my real identity.

Erm.. am i confusing u?! *looks at all the blur faces staring back at her* ok... *takes the word "partial" and doodle over, tear it, burn it and flush it down the toilet*

Anonymous can be defined as

And today.. we shall be touching on Definition No. 2.. something liddat...alright move on..

Why Do People Choose to be Anonymous

Since we were young.. our mummies and daddies have always emphasis on the need to not disclose our identity or we will meet the human equivalent of the big bad wolf... ~~whosafraidofthebigbadwolfbigbadwolfbigbadwolf~~

Another reason why people choose to be anonymous status is because they want to be the trouble. Trouble that comes in the form of flamers, crooks and such..
Quoting harrypottter : "I don't go looking for trouble, trouble usually finds me!"
Indeed they do a good job in finding us with the existence of the Internet.

Having an anonymous status also means covering your tracks. Preventing some people from knowing what you did.

Another thing is that you don't like your actual name or in real life, there are a hell lot of people who u don't know have what against you.The faceless Internet kind of offer you a chance at a nice new identity, covering your past your ugly looks blah blah blah blah. It is like giving you loads of new chances to redeem yourself or be someone u want to be.
Yeah, it is kind of sad that people like to judge you by how you look in the real world and being unable to change your face and id (like most of us) whatever bad stuff you get from people will always linger when you want to change.

You see, people, always want to know, always want to have the advantage. By not knowing and being at a disadvantage, we will naturally get upset because yeah, WE WANT TO KNOW. wheeee up late in the middle of the night in the middle of no where in the year

anyway, recently i found out that the game series Final Fantasy is kinda cool..

Sunset's ending really disappoint me though... the finale doesnt sound like one... and in the previous warriors series.. the ending is kinda better than this one, the 2nd warriors series.. there's a 3rd one coming out.. it's gonna be entitled warriors: the power of three... and it sounded like the series Charmed........... quite some similarities too.. its like another series with three sisters with strange powers.....

Maximum Ride has like officially become my 2nd favourite book series.. u guys shld go read if ya gotta time (and no, dun dump ur maths for it.. although maths sarks compared to it... laalalala dun be a naughty kiddie like jade..) my favourite is still the Hex trilogy... my favourite havent changed for like a couple of years...
